ABOUT THE ABINISM CHARITY

Stand up stand out is a non-governmental organization based in London and Liberia, our mission is to bring global awareness and offer sustainable support to children with albinism in Liberia.

The aim of the dinner is to raise money for the work in Liberia towards our mission.

The money will be going towards the following:

Building a nursery in Liberia for children with albinism, the nursery will be fitted with audio equipment’s as most children with albinism suffers from visual impairment.

The nursery will offer training and monthly workshops, educating the community about social responsibilities on safeguarding and protecting children with albinism.

 Getting the government to include albinism studies in schools curriculums in Liberia opening a charity shop in Liberia, with the aim to generate funds towards education, social and health care support for families and persons with albinism

OUR AIMS

The organization aims to educate, empower, create jobs, offer assistance where necessary for long term to support persons with Albinism in order for them to live a life of no fear in this world.

Stand Up Stand Out was founded in 2018. We have 35 students and parents we support in Liberia. We have adopted two children with Albinism in our children’s home. Why not stand with us today and make lives better for Persons with Albinism.

We will not stop until we see our place here in Liberia and the world come to understand
Albinism is not a curse, disease or death sentence.

Key Objects

-charity shop to generate funds to support the schools, nursery and families and persons with
Albinism and visual impairments
-library with large print books accessible
-sensory impairment
-to build a center for persons with Albinism and Visually Impairment
-creating skills acquisition center where quality education will be established
-Sports ( equipment for persons with disabilities)learning materials suitable for them and those
that are not
-educated into further education E.g. universities etc.
-we will aim to put Albinism into the National curriculum of the schools
-charity Shop for persons with Albinism to get their clothes ( Sun cream, sunglasses, hats etc)
twice a month. With their ID
-work shops, meetings, Counseling
-Dance, Drama, Musical Instruments
-drop in sessions/ advice and support for families.
-center will start from nursery to higher education fitted with audio equipment etc..
-offering training for families and providing access to health and social care professionals.
-educating the communities on the condition ( Albinism)
